So Im feeling dubious about having to switch back to regular milk.
How long does cow and gate comfort milk take to work. Hi there you have to give everything about a week. I also found that you might have to change the teats to a faster flow as the milk is thicker. The Comfort milk worked really quickly for Millie but it does play a bit of havoc on their little bellys so needs time to work.
I used to use Infacol before every feed and gripe water on occasion. It takes several days to work and you have to wean them off. We found that Aptimel Easy Digest sim to cg comfort made a difference for 2-3 weeks but then things really went on the slide.
It took a good 3-4 days for her to adjust to it though so you may still find it works for you. HV says if windy a bigger teat is better as they dont have to suck as hard. My baby is 12 weeks and i have bought the comfort milk today to try i will start off woth every other bottle as a comfort milk to introduce it to him slowly so my advice would to try it and see how it goes.
It can take over a week to get into system it does advise on box it can give them green poo which is ok apparently x. Thanks for your reply D- i tried the comfort for over a week - she was ok for 2 days bit more settled then the wind started again and she was still burping and windy 3-4 hrs after a bottle i spoke to cow gate they said this should be happening to try gaviscon in with her feed which i done for 4 days again this only worked for 1 day then she was unsettled again my hv said it wasnt working to try. Cow Gate Comfort is made with oligosaccharides GOSFOS reduced lactose partially hydrolysed whey proteins and structured vegetable oil to help manage your little ones colic or constipation.
It is nutritionally complete suitable as a sole source of nutrition from birth and as part of a weaning diet from 6 months to 12 months. Either way I dont think 2-3 days for the LOs to poo is normal especially when they wake themselves from a sleep straining and throwing legs straight as if trying. I give my LO an extra OZ of water in her milk not an extra scoop of formula which is.

George is on Cow and Gate Comfort milk. He does fart constantly and some days hell do 2 or 3 poos like you said other days he wont go at all and sometimes hell do just one. It is for colic and constipation and so if Charlie isnt constipated it may have the effect of making him go more often.
Its worked wonders for us but each baby is different. Cow gate comfort is brill for colic wind probs. If BB is used to standard which is sweeter might take a couple of bottles to accept comfort bitter taste I picked it up by accident as my second tub midwife said I might aswell use it as it would also ease colic wind as its such a thick feed.
From the first day I used her colic symptoms disappeared. Was told that need to follow instructions most of time but for night is fine to make up formula cool in water and put to back of fridge till needed. Then i just take chill off it in a jug of hot water.
Only takes 2 mins. I also find that its easier on trips out to put boiled water in a bottle with correct milk powder in seperate holder thing. I keep it in a insulated bag thing to keep water as warm as poss.
But if its cold. Cow and gate comfort milk. 9172012 at 738 AM.
I have just switched to cow and gate comfort after my hv advised me to. Its been 3 days but she seems to have a lot of wind down below and is still very unsettled. She lifts her legs up constantly and looks like shes struggling to pass wind.
Have also switched to dr brown bottles and she. She said that I need to wean DC1 off the comfort milk as its only to be used for a short time. DC1 is nearly 11 weeks old and so will be hitting that pivotal 12 week mark for colic soon but Im nervous about changing back to regular milk in case she still struggles with her wind and colic.
Ive noticed that if were out somewhere and I have to use a carton of regular CG that she struggles after it. So Im feeling dubious about having to switch back to regular milk. I have started giving finn colief in his aptamil milk at every feed and wow what a difference it has made iam so glad as it was starting to become a real problem.
Everytime i fed him about 15-20 mins after every feed he would extend his legs and wave his arms about and cry out. How do you make the bottles. We have a prep machine and have to use the lid that comes with it and give it a really good shake for about 15 seconds.
Ive found that it has loads of bubbles too but she seems to be fine with that so wouldnt worry. As long as hes taking his feeds and is ok on it then I imagine it shouldnt be a problem. Anyone know if cow gate comfort sell ready made cartons.
Thinking Ill have to switch to it as DD has bad tummy advised by health visitor that I could try it but will miss not having ready made cartons for when Im out and about. Looked on their website but they dont mention it. See next See all Add message Report See all.

From around six months it could be time to start introducing solids alongside your little ones regular milk. This is called weaning and theres going be a lot of messy fun from here on in. If your baby is ready to start eating a variety of purées and finger foods you still need to give your baby their regular milk.
At the beginning your little one is more likely to get their solid foods all over you than in their little mouths. The cow and gate website says this. When you start using Cow Gate Comfort Milks you may notice a change in your babys nappies.
Sometimes stools can be very loose and may also be greenish in colour. This is because of the special ingredients in Cow Gate Comfort Milks and its perfectly normal.
